You know what makes a simple and fun Nerf target?

An empty plastic bottle and a ping pong ball!

Ping Pong Ball Nerf Targets

Ready, aim, fire!

Ping Pong Ball Nerf Targets We covered the bottles with duct tape (just for fun) and added small rocks to each bottle for weight. You could also weigh them down with sand, but we didn’t have any on hand. Also, I wondered if sand would just spill out when the bottles tip over. The goal was to hit just the ping pong ball, but of course that didn’t always happen! The rocks did not spill when the bottles tipped.

We did this outside, but it could easily be an indoor game on a bad weather day. What’s your favorite way to play with Nerf?

We love to draw on our glass sliding door with Crayola window crayons. Then we can draw bulleyes and shoot them with suction cup darts.

What size bottles are these? I am looking to do three at different heights/distances for a podium effect at a birthday party. We don't use plastic bottles so we can't test it out. I was also wondering if you have any more sustainable ideas instead of plastic that have the same shape to hold ping pong balls.
