Awesome LEGO Creations With Bricks You Already Have - 50 Exciting New LEGO Projects with Parts Lists and Instructions!

New ideas for your bucket of bricks!

The intent of this book is to provide building ideas that kids can use to get creative with their bucket of bricks. There are two types of projects in this book. Many of the projects have step-by-step instructions and parts lists with every piece needed to build the project. Kids can either follow our instructions, or use the idea to build their own creation. Other projects in the book are “no instruction creative challenges.” We needed a name that would fit these projects, but most of them are not truly no instruction. There are detailed photos of the key parts and written instructions. However, full step-by-step instructions are not needed for some of the more open-ended projects, if that makes sense. Each of the creative challenge projects has a key elements list with the names of important bricks.

What kinds of projects are in this book?

Awesome LEGO Creations has a mix of easy and more challenging LEGO® builds. There are vehicles including a fighter jet, a motorcycle, simple planes, and more. Kids can build a monkey and several other wild animals, dragons, medieval projects, robots, and LEGO® town projects. There are also chapters full of game ideas (the working foosball table is one of my favorites) and contraption ideas (including a spiffed up version of our very popular candy dispenser).

So, can my child build all of the projects in the book using the LEGO® bricks they already have?

Well, not necessarily, because we don’t know what your child owns – ha! Some of you who purchase this book may have one 5 year old who owns a handful of LEGO® sets, and others of you will have multiple kids with massive LEGO® collections. So here’s what we did – we created a fun book full of inspiring ideas that kids are going to love! Encourage your kids to get creative with the bricks they have to build or modify our designs. The build-your-own board game project and the spinning tops will work with almost any bricks, for example. Or, if there is a project that they really want to build just like we built it, such as the fire breathing dragon on the cover, you can use the parts list to order the pieces you need on Brick Link.

Will my children be able to follow the instructions themselves?

Younger kids (maybe 7 and under) will probably need a little help from mom and dad. Older kids will be able to take this book and run with it!

Here’s an example of a step-by-step project. There are two more pages in this project, but it will give you the idea.

Here’s another one – a crossbow.

There is something for everyone in this book! Animals, robots, dragons, vehicles, LEGO® town, games, and more. Here’s an example of a more open-ended project – a vet’s office. The next page after this one shows close up photos with details for building the furniture.

Would this book make a good gift? And if so, what ages would enjoy this book?

Yes, this book would make a perfect gift! It’s a great price for a birthday party gift, and it would be super fun to find under the Christmas tree! I would recommend it for kids ages 4+. It’s really hard to put a maximum age on this – my 13 year old loves it!

Where can I order my copy?

This is such a great idea. Please can you consider making it available in a format we can access in the UK. (I'm afraid we don't have a kindle)

I just checked on Amazon, and it does say that it ships to the UK. Did you specifically want a digital version? Or is the shipping very high to the UK? I will check with the publisher and see what they can do. Since this book is with a publishing company, I don't have direct control. Thanks for asking, though, and I'm glad you like it! :-)

I recently discover it and it's a wonderful idea and a fabulous book. So perfect for Christmas gifts!
The book is excellent quality and opens flat, so you can easily keep your spot as you build.

    Thanks!
