Here is a fun indoor game for kids that creates a satisfying crash with (hopefully) no damage to people or furniture!

My boys have always enjoyed building with plastic cups. Our original collection of building cups finally bit the dust – too many of them were cracked to make them worth saving. So they were thrilled when I found packages of plastic cups on 50% off clearance at Target!

We decided to add a new twist to cup building by adding a ball and bowling with them. We named the game “vertical bowling” because we built tall towers and then bowled them over!

The boys and I had a great time building all sorts of designs with the cups. Sometimes we made tall towers, and then we also tried some set-ups where it was more difficult to knock down every cup with one roll.

The boys enjoyed the building as much as the knocking down, which was good because the building took a lot longer than the knocking down!

Our 1 year old had to sit in his booster because he was a little too “hands on”… poor boy!

CRASH! (My 9 year old bowled this one – pretty sure this picture is evidence that he wasn’t just rolling the ball this time! Ahem, son.)

I did let Jonathan get out of his booster seat and have a turn knocking down the towers. At first, he wasn’t sure if he should! Then he got into it and had a GREAT time.

This is awesome! I have cups left over from Christmas - now I know what to do with them on our next stuck-inside day! Thanks for sharing.
