Here’s a fun superhero craft for kids – turn plastic cups into arm cuffs that can be taken on and off!
This craft was Jonathan’s idea (age 3)! The boys were cutting up plastic cups for something, and he took a cup with the bottom cut off and stuck it on his arm and asked me to make him, “those things I put on my arms and I can fly!”
We ended up making a set for Owen and Jonathan both, and I added strips of peel and stick velcro so that they can come off and on.
To make them, you will need:
- Plastic cups
- Duct tape
- Peel and stick velcro
- Scissors
- Baby wipes – wipe off the blades of your scissors, and they will slice right through the duct tape!
Cut the bottom off of each cup. The boys’ arms are so tiny that I cut out a chunk of the cup as well. Even if you don’t reduce the size of the cup, cut it open lengthwise.
Cover with duct tape and add velcro.
Add a cape, and you’re ready to save the day!
