Here’s a simple way to make a catapult with items that you probably already have around the house! This catapult is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.

Simple Clothespin Catapult

To make this catapult, I used wood glue to attach a clothespin to a block of scrap wood. Then I glued a craft stick to the clothespin.

I used a little plastic medicine cup to hold the pom pom balls. I attached it with hot glue and expected it to come back off, but the hot glue has held very well!

Jonathan (age 3) loves this!

He loves to load as many pom poms as possible into the cup at one time. 🙂

We had great fun making the clothespin catapult today! My 4.75 yr old daughter, 3.5 yr old son, and I made them in the morning. In the afternoon, when they were dry, we had a pom pom "fight." It was a fabulous craft+activity. Thank you! I want to make the cardboard+craft stick marble run next. I posted your link on Facebook.
