How to Build LEGO® Minions
Who doesn’t love minions? We just watched Despicable Me (again) last weekend, and decided to build some minions!
There’s something irresistible about these silly guys!
After you build them, it’s time to find things for them to do.
Ooooooooh…
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
You might even want to build a whole minion family.
Ready to build them? Here are some instructions!
Update: We have also added a second post with the “bee do” minion, Captain America minion, pirate minion, and more! You can find those designs here: MORE LEGO MINIONS
How to build a two-eyed minion:
Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
Step 4:
Step 5: It would be better to do a 2 x 2 flat yellow brick instead of what you see below – we just couldn’t find one!
Step 6: The eyes are a flat 2 x 4 gray brick with round white flat bricks and black round one stud bricks. We had to borrow the white circles from a Star Wars set!
Step 7:
How to build a one-eyed minion:
Step 1:
Step 2: Add a 1 x 2 flat yellow brick and a 2 x 1 flat blue brick.
Step 3: Not sure what these pieces are called! Add 2 for arms.
Step 4:
Step 5: Add one 2 x 4 yellow and one flat 2 x 4 yellow.
Step 6:
Step 7:
Step 8:
Step 9:
Step 10: Draw on the mouth with a marker. Either use dry erase or Sharpie. (Sharpie washes off with rubbing alcohol.)
Please comment if you need instructions for the minion mom or the minion on fire! We did not have time to post full instructions for all four minion designs, but we may be able to add them later if there is interest.

Are the Lego eyes, for the two eyed minions, the "White Plate Round 2x2 Lot x25 Friends Elves Disney Axle Hole Parts 4032" I have bought all your books... LOVE LOVE LOVE.. We adopted four little boys two years ago, ages 6,5,4,4. THEY LOVE Legos... I am so excited to have your site as a resource.
I would LOVE if you took your post on 20 Beginner Project - The the next post on the Beginner project and made a step by step book like your other books.. Your ideas are adorable... I would love it all in a book instead of looking at a screen.
