Here’s a fun building challenge for your LEGO® fans! Build some Easter eggs out of LEGO® bricks!
These colorful eggs look so fun displayed in a basket or on the Easter table. They are also easy for younger kids to build. My 5 year old loved this project!
To make these LEGO® eggs, you’ll need mainly basic bricks. In addition to basic bricks, you’ll need:
- Two 2 x 3 slope bricks
- Two 2 x 3 inverted slope bricks
- Two 2 x 2 inverted slope bricks
- Two 2 x 2 slope bricks that are two bricks high
Beyond those bricks, you can just fill in with whatever pretty colors you want! Janie and I raided her stash of pink, purple, yellow, lime green, and lavender bricks. So many fun colors now! When I was a kid, our LEGO® collection was mainly red, blue, white, black, and green bricks. And a little gray. Now there are so many amazing colors of bricks!
The completed eggs can stand up on their own, which is nice if you want to display them on the mantle or on the table. As you can see from the photos, I used 1 x 3 curved slope bricks on the top of one of the eggs. This gives the egg a more rounded look, but in our collection, our curved slope bricks are mainly gray, black, etc., so I made most of them with 2 x 3 slopes. The magenta color came out of Janie’s Friends sets.
You can also put your LEGO® eggs in an Easter basket – so cute!
