Two weeks until Christmas! Hopefully, you’re more organized than me and have all of your shopping done. If not, here are some last-minute gift ideas for boys.
Basic Lego Tub
You can’t go wrong with Lego building sets! If the child you’re buying for is just getting started with Legos, this tub of basic bricks is the best way to go. Children ages 4 and up would enjoy this set, and at $29.99, you will get a lot of use out of it for the price. We found that our boys weren’t ready for more complicated sets with building instructions until age 5 (with help) or 6 (following instructions more independently).
Snap Circuits
We do not own any Snap Circuits, but several people have recommended them to us. They look awesome! With this set, your child will be able to build several electrical projects including a light and an AM radio.
Green Toys Flatbed Truck
This flatbed truck with racecar is so cute, and very well made. We looked at it in person at a local toy store. I’m thinking of ordering it for Jonathan’s first birthday, which is a week after Christmas. Jonathan is getting the Green Toys bathtub boat for Christmas.
Books are always a great choice!
Here is a list of our favorite picture books and our favorite board books.
Homemade Gift Ideas:
If you’re crafty, your kids will LOVE these homemade Angry Birds beanbags! Great stocking stuffer, and the supplies cost next to nothing.
It’s easy and inexpensive to make your own wooden blocks. Kids can help with this gift for a younger sibling!
It’s also fun to make your own “I Spy” book by taking photos of collections of items.
Need a gift that kids can make for grandparents or another adult? A homemade decorative birdhouse is easy to do and turns out great!
