We had fun building LEGO® bugs this week at our house!  I thought that the boys might build with Duplos too, but no one ever got those out.  This building challenge was Gresham’s idea, but I only caught two of his bugs on camera!  He would build one, and then show me, and then think of a way to improve it, and it would morph into something else.  It’s so funny how the boys are so different.  Aidan wants to keep his creations up for weeks, and Gresham’s creations never even last an afternoon because he is constantly rebuilding them!

Anyway, Gresham built the scorpion in the picture at the top.  He also built a lizard (not a bug?) and a ladybug:

Aidan built this beetle:

Dad got in on the fun and built a ladybug and a bee.  I love the bee he came up with!

The bee even has a stinger!

Now it’s your turn!

Thanks to Daniel and Paul for e-mailing us pictures of the bugs they built!  They made a dinosaur bug:

And a ladybug:

Great job boys!  Thanks so much for sending up your pictures!

Did your kids build some bugs this week?  Link up your post and let us see them!  As always, posts do not have to be about the LEGO® building challenge.  Feel free to link up any kid-generated LEGO® designs or LEGO® learning activities, LEGO® birthday party ideas, etc.
