It’s time for LEGO® Fun Friday!
If you’re new to Frugal Fun for Boys, LEGO® Fun Friday is a twice-a-month feature. Each time, we post pictures from our current building challenge and announce the theme for the next building challenge so that you can join in on the fun! Link up your LEGO® blog post, or if you don’t have a blog (or LEGO®’s wouldn’t fit your blog), feel free to share pictures of your kids’ creations on the Frugal Fun for Boys Facebook page!
The building challenge for this week was summer themed LEGO® building.
My boys built a couple of swimming pools and a high dive for their LEGO® minifigures! The pools did leak, and required refilling often. But turning on the hose and refilling them was definitely part of the fun. Just make this an outside activity if your kids decide to make a LEGO® swimming pool!
Darth Vader is doing the backstroke. 🙂
Whoa! Too many guys on the high dive!
After a good swim, the minifigures were ready to chill with a tasty sno-cone.
If you’re needing some ways to occupy kids during the summer, here are some of my favorite building challenges from past LEGO® Fun Fridays:
- Build a balloon-powered Lego car
- Build Lego boats that really float
- How many different things can you make with 25 Lego pieces?
- Funny Lego photography
- Build something from a book
- Build a car that rolls the farthest
Now it’s your turn! Link up a post about what your kids built, or any LEGO® post. Or, share photos on the Frugal Fun for Boys Facebook page!
But first, the next LEGO® Fun Friday will be Friday July 12th. The building challenge for next time is to build a landmark from the neighborhood or city where you live. Could be a building, or a natural landmark. We can’t wait to see what you all come up with!
This list will close in 7 days, 3 hrs, 2 min (7/4/2013 11:59 PM North America – Central Standard Time)
