This next week, something exciting will be going on at Frugal Fun for Boys!
Remember elementary school book orders? And book fairs? I loved those. Well, if you are a fan of new books, then I have something fun to share with you! This next week, I will be doing an E-Show from Usborne Books.
We were already familiar with Usborne books and own several, so when Jennifer Collins, a representative of Usborne books contacted me about doing an E-Show and giveaway, I was very interested. The E-Show and giveaway will run from January 18th – 28th on Jennifer’s site, www.myusbornereader.com. Anyone who places an order through my show will automatically be entered for a chance to win $20 in free books!
This morning, Aidan and I started reading The World Wars as part of Sonlight Core E (American History, Part 2). We have been looking forward to this book all year.
The World Wars is a fantastic book with photos on every page. Today we read about the issues that led to the start of the first World War. Aidan was enjoying the book so much that we read an extra lesson! (Which made me happy – I’d love to finish our school year by the beginning of May!)
I’m thinking of ordering the Sticker Dressing Second World War for Aidan as a fun supplement to our study of the World Wars. In fact, all of the books in the Sticker Dressing series look like a lot of fun! Gresham has his eye on the Knights book.
Usborne’s Encyclopedias and First Encyclopedias look like fabulous resources for homeschoolers. There are encyclopedias available about science, animals, space, seas & oceans, world history, and more.
Preschoolers may enjoy 1001 Animals to Spot (and all of the other 1001 Things to Spot books). These books have pages full of things to find and count – similar to I Spy.
Jonathan (age 1) LOVES touch and feel books. One of his favorites is That’s Not My Train because there are interesting textures on every page.
I LOVE the Pull Back Busy Car Book for little ones! This fun book is recommended for ages three and up, and each page has a track for the pull back car to whiz around on.
What sales and deals are available?
I love sales! There are two types of sales available in this E-show. The Internet Specials are a list of books that are 40-70% off. The Customer Specials are a list of books that are available for 60% off if you purchase $40 in books. If you spend $40, you can choose 3 books from the 60% off list, and if you spend $80, you can choose 6. To view the sales, click on “Shop” and then “Specials” at www.myusbornereader.com.
My Usborne Books E-Show will run from January 18th – 28th. Any purchases that you make through my show will enable me to earn free books for my family (make sure that the site says “Sarah Dees show” when you order). Anyone who makes a purchase will automatically be entered in a giveaway for $20 in free books! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jennifer Collins through the contact button on her site.
