Some friends of ours gave us this awesome washing machine box!  So what did we do with it?

We didn’t make a rocket ship.

We didn’t make a bear cave.

We didn’t make a fort or a castle.

We didn’t make a car.

We didn’t make a secret hideout.

(Although I suggested all of those things!)

Instead, the boys have spent quite a bit of time up in our game room rolling in it.  As in, more than one of them in the box on its side rolling over and over and screaming.  Sometimes they put pillows in it and I think they even had one of their chairs in it with them.

Sometimes crafts are fun, but much of the time, we just like something wild!

(And don’t feel bad at all if the things you do with your kids don’t look like a picture-perfect Pinterest post!)

Thanks for sharing this! So many times I feel like I'm not doing a good enough job as mom when our activities don't live up to the picture perfect pinterest photos. It's a good reminder that rolling around in a box is an equally good activity because often my boys prefer those kinds of things. :)

Oh wow! This post really resonates with us. "(And don’t feel bad at all if the things you do with your kids don’t look like a picture-perfect Pinterest post!)" - I love that! Sometimes kids don't want to concoct pretend stories- they just like to be silly and have a wild time. Rolling around in our pop-up laundry basket is a perfect example. Sometimes they are tunnels, caves, store etc but many times they are just a a place to roll around or put baby sis inside. Totally love your lego fridays.
