Here are some live bird cams that animal fans will love. It’s the perfect time of year to follow along as the eggs hatch and the chicks grow! Watch eagles, hawks, owls, and more.

My boys have become avid bird watchers, and they especially love birds of prey such as hawks, falcons, kestrels, and owls. The photo of the barred owl below was taken by me at a local nature center. We love to go see a pair of nesting barred owls each spring, and I have photographed the babies as well. It takes a really long camera lens to get shots like this!

This post was updated for Spring 2022 on January 27, 2022.

With all of the bird cams, keep in mind that these are wild birds, and anything can happen! There will likely be footage of snakes and mice being eaten. Sometimes, eggs or baby birds get eaten by predators. Keep these possibilities in mind if you have kids who are sensitive!

Screech Owls – this one is local to us here in Texas. One of the Eastern Screech Owls is gray, and the other is a red morph. So pretty! There is a second camera that shows the opening of the box from the outside. No eggs yet, but I bet it will be soon! There are some adorable photos under the live cam that show both owls trying to peek out of the box.

Bald Eagle – from Berry College in Georgia. When I looked, the mom was on the nest with little eaglets!! So cute.

Bald Eagles – Washington D.C. Arboretum. What could be more patriotic than eagles right in our nation’s capital? This cam is up and running for the 2022 season. When I checked, I saw the pair sitting together.

Here’s another Bald Eagle cam from Santa Cruz Island off the coast of California. This mom is already on her nest, and there are eggs!

Osprey – Savannah, GA. These are such beautiful birds. This nest is an incredible size!

The Wild Birds Unlimited Barred Owl Cam will be up soon for the 2022 season. Expect eggs in early March.

Red Tailed Hawks – No eggs yet, but the hawks are busy building their nest! This site has clips of interesting moments, so be sure to check those out under the main video.

Have fun learning about birds!
