Do your kids love the memory game? Mine do! We have a superhero version and a princess version. Here’s a printable version of the memory game that will teach letter recognition and sounds!

Three Ways to Play

Letter Sounds Memory Game – Turn the cards face over. Each player will turn over two cards. If they find a matching picture and letter pair, they get to keep the match. You don’t have to use the whole alphabet at one time! Play a more manageable game by selecting just some of the letters.

Letter Recognition Memory Game – Print two sets of the cards, and play the memory game matching A to A and so on.

One Player Match-Up – One child can work on their own matching the pictures to the letter sounds. This is a great quiet time activity!

This printable pack contains all 26 letters and 26 matching pictures. I recommend printing the cards on card stock for durability. Also, if you use regular paper, it will be a little too see-through for the memory game!

I love the way these memory cards look but you have duplicates of Y & Z, and it's missing STUVWX.

I just clicked on the file in the post, and all 26 letters are there! There are no duplicates.

I just opened it and Bobbie was correct - duplicates of Y & Z, and it's missing STUVWX . I closed the file and when I opened it again everything was as it was supposed to be. Kinda weird but I'm glad it worked! This will be perfect for my little man!

That's REALLY weird! I'm not sure why that happened, but maybe this tip will help others who have the same problem. I can't change the file as it looks totally correct for me!

    Hi,

Love your memory cards. Can you recommend what template to use if I want to make my own memory cards?

I used Power Point to create the cards. I didn't have a template - just made them using shapes in Power Point.
