Last week, we found an exciting package by our front door! It was a new book written by my friend Asia. Her blog, Fun at Home with Kids, is full of awesome sensory play activities for kids, and her book did not disappoint!
This gorgeous book would make a great gift this holiday season! The boys have been busy poring over the pages and choosing the things they want to do.
I love the fact that the activities are organized into simple categories: slimes (sooo00 many fun recipes!), doughs, paints, simple sensory activities, small worlds, and DIY toys.
Most of the activities in this book use ingredients that you already have around the house. Also, Asia has really gone the extra mile to include recipes for play dough and slime that are taste-safe for toddlers who might be tempted to mouth things or for children with allergies (for example, gluten-free playdough).
Gresham wants to create the frog small world with his Safari Toob frogs, but for now we decided to mix up some magic foaming dough. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Owen had fun creating a snowman and then melting him…
We were all amazed by the icy cold foam that forms as a result of this endothermic reaction!
