Build sight words out of LEGO bricks! Kids are going to love this simple literacy activity, and all you’ll need is some LEGO bricks, a baseplate, and the printable cards in this post.

Or, make your own cards with whatever words your child is currently working on. It’s easy to grab some index cards and just write out the words you need.

LEGO Sight Words - Printable Word Cards

When we tried out this activity, I was kind of amazed at how do-able it was to make every letter of the alphabet in LEGO bricks! You’ll want to have plenty of 1 x 1 bricks on hand, however. The “k” in “make” in the photo above has all 1 x 1 bricks for the diagonal lines.

My 6 year old had a great time building words!

LEGO Sight Words

This LEGO sight word activity is perfect for kids who are kinesthetic learners or who need to approach sight words in multiple ways to keep learning fresh!

Set up a LEGO sight word center at home or in your classroom!

There are 48 LEGO sight word cards to print. I took the words from the Dolch sight word list for kindergarten through 2nd grade. However, I didn’t do the entire list. Too many words!
