Turn your junk mail into a family game – HA! This Christmas catalog scavenger hunt will get everyone laughing.

Every year, we end up with an onslaught of holiday catalogs from every store imaginable. We purchased our home two years ago from an older couple who obviously received a lot of junk mail! The amount of catalogs we get is truly amazing.

Over the weekend, the kids were looking through our many catalogs, and I had the idea for this silly family game!

How to Play the Christmas Catalog Scavenger Hunt Game

Basically, you make the rules here.

Kids can entertain themselves by playing this on their own. Give them the scavenger hunt and have them circle things in catalogs.

Or, make it a funny family game! Give everyone a catalog. Set a timer for 2 minutes, and let everyone find the first item on the list, and so on. Trade catalogs between rounds if you want!

Our stores have not been printing much in the way of catalogues this year, which is sad as my grandson is kept happy for hours with Lego, car and tractor ads. This is going to be a challenge...first collect catalogues, then sit back and enjoy the fun.

The Catalog Scavenger Hunt saved Christmas dinner at a restaurant. The kids were excited about it and the adults could talk during the lag before the food arrived, It was a brilliant idea.
