So a few weeks ago, we bought a large sheet of acrylic to use in our outdoor water wall. It’s the perfect surface for the water wall as we can stick things to it with suction cups and rearrange it differently each time. Well we’ve found several other fun things to do with our sheet of acrylic! It makes a great surface to draw on with dry erase markers.
Put a brother behind the sheet of acrylic, and you can do this:
Or this:
The boys have spent a LOT of time drawing on this acrylic board with dry erase markers! It has been the perfect thing while we’re staying home a lot with our new baby.
We do have a rule that the boys are not allowed to draw things on each other that are mean or that the person being “decorated” does not like.
Even without someone to draw on, the board is still a perfect drawing surface.
We have also used the acrylic board to introduce the boys to playing “Pictionary.” My husband googled lists of Pictionary words and found plenty of prompts. The boys loved it, and it was fun to find a family game that all of them (ages 2-11) could enjoy! Jonathan (age 2) had to have a turn. He had a blast scribbling while the boys guessed! So funny.
I think we’ll be using this board even more once we start school again. I can picturing lots of possibilities for practicing spelling words and math facts!

I'm imagining the giggles you get to hear as they decorate each other. :o) Seems this is also a quiet activity that can be done during younger siblings nap times (aka: Mommy's quite time). :o)

Great idea! Thanks for sharing. My boys will love this (and I'm sure will find all sorts of other uses for the acrylic, too)!
