A few weeks ago, my church had a women’s retreat.  The theme of the weekend was “Women Helping Women,” and it was all about mentoring.  A friend of mine was given the task of putting together a humorous skit (well, “skit” really doesn’t do it justice – it was really well done) that would go with the theme.  She asked me about participating in the video portion of her skit by playing the part of a frazzled mom with several badly behaved children.  Hmm… what did that mean?  (Actually, she was very gracious in asking and did not come right out and say we would be perfect for the job, so that made me feel better.  And my boys were very happy to oblige, especially my three year old who really lived up this opportunity!)

I thought you all might enjoy seeing the video and getting a humorous glimpse into our life!  Although this was “acting,” it is not very far off from real life…

The video depicts three women with different reasons for needing help and encouragement from another (wiser) woman.  But instead of turning to someone for help, these women are all turning to…  Well, you’ll see!  🙂

Wow, great acting. Even the dog can act. Was the cake any good?

The cake was fantastic. You can make another one and bring it to my house any time!

Oh Wow! Did your guys take lessons from my guys to act out this part. I am always picking up toys that within 5 minutes are back on the floor, or telling them (yet again) that they are not allowed to climb on the furniture and to go out and climb on the climbing frame or bounce on the trampoline! Well done, great fun acting. Now, where's that chocolate cake!
