We did this quick and easy craft today while Aidan had a friend over! To make the pictures, I took photos of the boys and then printed them (we’re currently out of color ink, but they looked kind of cool in black and white!). We used cardboard cut from cereal boxes and aluminum foil, pipe cleaners, and craft sticks for the bodies. Aidan made the sword and sheath himself out of craft sticks. Did you know that regular scissors can cut craft sticks? I didn’t, and I’m pretty sure that my scissors are now not as sharp as they used to be… Aidan’s friend drew himself a gun and an electricity bubble around his body – very cool!

I had some blank transparency sheets (left over from ages ago when people still used transparency projectors), and I suggested that we cut them out to be space helmets, like Buzz Lightyear’s, but no one was interested in that.

Quick, fun, and only requires materials from around the house!

LOVE this craft! My boys are deep into the superhero phase right now! I just may have to do this in the next week! BTW, I used to love overhead projectors when I was last a teacher, almost 7 years ago!

Azariah's is hanging on our fridge. He was very proud of himself as a superhero, and had a blast with Aidan.
