March 1st brought some awesome new LEGO releases!! I’m excited about new sets in the IDEAS theme, Star Wars (with the new Smart Play interactive bricks!) and more.

This post does not contain every one of the March releases (because we really aren’t into BrickHeads haha) but these are our top picks!

There are quite a few new releases that will appeal to adults. LEGO seems to really be heading in this direction, and I’m not sure how I feel about that! On the one hand, the adult sets are AWESOME. On the other hand, I’d love to see kids doing more LEGO building and less screens. Leave a comment if you have thoughts on LEGO designing their sets for adults as much or more than for kids.

The new LEGO Icons Model T Ford is AMAZING. Lots of detail for this price! Obviously everything is expensive these days, but I was pleasantly surprised at the $129.99 price point on this one.

Continuing in the vehicles theme, there’s also a new LEGO Icons Ferrari F2004 and driver Michael Schumacher. I know a certain son of mine is going to want this one… even though he’s all grown up now!

There’s a new LEGO cat! The LEGO Ideas Orange Cat is already on backorder, but it says it will ship by March 19th if you order now.

The new LEGO Ideas Floating Sea Otters is ADORABLE. Goodness, what a cute set with a mother and baby.

If you love art, you’ll love this new LEGO Claude Monet – Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies. Gorgeous!

I am loving this LEGO Winnie the Pooh! Another fantastic set to display.

Formula 1 fans will love the new LEGO City F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car.

March is a BIG month for LEGO Star Wars releases! And each of the sets includes the new Smart Play interactive bricks.

Here are the new sets:

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Luke’s Red Five X-Wing

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Luke’s Landspeeder

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Millennium Falcon Starship

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: AT-ST Attack on Endor

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Yoda’s Hut and Jedi Training

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Mos Eisley Cantina

LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Throne Room Duel and A-Wing

There are some fun new Pokemon sets that will appeal to kids and adults alike!

These have a lot of collectible potential.

Here’s the new LEGO Pikachu and Poke Ball.

LEGO Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise with a display base. This one is a hefty price, but then again it does come with 6,800 bricks!

And here’s the LEGO Eevee.

I think some teen/adult sets are fun, but seeing the kids in a LEGO club I run, they have such opportunity to be creative when they have access to many different pieces. They love “free build” time. Keeping prices affordable can help with that. And Start more LEGO clubs! You’ll be amazed at how much fun it is! Adults need to help children find activities and interests beyond the screen type entertainment. 😊

I love collecting and playing with Lego. It encourages creative thinking and I love watching how my Grandkids minds work in creative mode. Keep the kids' sets coming and keep those minds creative and growing.
