Here’s a fun Easter craft for kids!  And you probably have all of the supplies on hand.

We had fun creating paper plate Easter baskets this week.  We filled them with construction paper eggs and paper grass – super simple!

To make the basket, I cut a paper plate in half and then cut the curved rim off of one half to make the handle.

We painted the baskets brown.  (I’ve learned to give them ONLY brown paint if I want it to actually be brown!)

While the baskets dried, the boys colored paper Easter eggs to put inside.  I have never seen Jonathan do such careful coloring!

I decided to decorate some eggs myself with fun patterns, which inspired Gresham (age 8) to make one of these baskets too. He loves almost any type of art project.

When they were finished, we glued the baskets onto squares of white poster board.  Then the boys glued on their eggs and stuffed the baskets with grass.

The finished baskets are so pretty!
