We have been into chameleons lately. Well, the boys are always into reptiles of various sorts! So Aidan designed a chameleon charm on his Rainbow Loom. We searched on Pinterest and could not find any other chameleons or similar lizards and so we decided to make a tutorial video.
We made the tail curl by inserting a piece of jewelry wire into the tail. The eyes are googly eyes attached with hot glue.
Our video skills leave much to be desired – we did not realize that we were getting wind noise from the opened back door. (I opened it to improve the lighting.) Also, it was hard to film looping the bands with Aidan’s hands in the way. Thanks for bearing with us – my son is so proud of this tutorial!
This photo supplements the video. This is how the tail area should look after looping the bands. From here, it’s just basically three chains that you loop towards the head.
The finished chameleon is so cute!
Note: The tongue is holding it together, so don’t take it off.

WHY IS IS FUN FOR BOYS?? I'm sure any little girl would love this. Otherwise, I love it. My house is flooded with them and sticky notes that say, Mom can we buy more rubber bands
Love it :)

I have a problem with using a glue gun to attach an eye. Would have been easy enough to attach an eye by looping a black band around the hook three or four times and threading it through a green band. I don't like the idea of the glue gun.
