We are back with more LEGO® minions to build! And these are some dressed up minions!
If you missed our original LEGO minions post, you might want to start there. That post has step-by-step instructions for building both a one-eyed minion and a two-eyed minion. Once you have the basic design, it’s fun to start making all kinds of minions!
For all of the minions with marker mouths we used a Sharpie. It washes off with rubbing alcohol, but it does leave behind a faint stain. You could also try a dry erase marker. Either way, I would test cleaning your particular marker off of one brick first if you don’t want to stain your bricks.
Pirate Minion
This one was inspired by the pirate minion outfit at Build-a-Bear. We are wondering if the pirate will be in the new Minions movie?
The sword is made out of duct tape. I stuck a piece of duct tape to both sides of an index card and then cut out the sword shape. Then I taped the blade of the sword to a LEGO® pirate telescope brick.
Here’s a view without the minion so that you can see what bricks are in the hat.
Bee-Do Minion
Undoubtedly one of our favorite scenes from Despicable Me 2! Aidan built this one totally himself.
Here’s how he did the flashing lights:
And the megaphone:
Cupcake Baker Minion: This one was not in the movies, we just thought it was a cute idea!
Captain America Minion:
Aidan built this one also. I cut the “A” out of a mailing label.
Knight Minion: Gresham (age 8) designed this one!
Have fun building! If your kids create some minions, we would love for you to post a picture on the Frugal Fun for Boys Facebook page!
