We’re back with more LEGO® mosaic ideas to build! This time we’ve got a fun FALL theme for you with a jack o’lantern, football, ghost, scarecrow, and more. These fall LEGO® mosaic ideas are perfect for building on a LEGO® wall, or kids can just grab a baseplate and get started!

Print the cards (there are 8 pattern cards) or build the ideas straight from the photos in the post.

What kind of bricks do I need for these building cards?

I’ve been getting lots of questions about what bricks are needed for our LEGO® mosaic building cards, so I thought I’d provide some info here.

First of all… baseplates. I used 16 x 16 plates for these projects. We have SO many taken-apart sets, plus I’ve bought some of these plates separately as well. So I’m not sure what to tell you about which set to buy for these! Honestly, I think that the best option is to order them individually from Brick Link or Lego.com.

Here they are on Brick Link: 16 x 16 plate

And on Lego.com: 16 x 16 plate

All of the mosaics require just basic bricks. Someone recently commented that the LEGO® Classic sets come with SO many colors, but only a few pieces of each color. Yes, I agree. And it does make it hard to build things! If you’re needing more bricks of a certain color, here are my suggestions:

  • Check the brick wall at your local LEGO® store, if you have one.
  • Keep an eye out for bulk LEGO® bricks in local sale groups on Facebook. I sometimes see people selling gallon sized bags full of their kids old LEGO® bricks!
  • Check thrift stores and garage sales for bulk bricks and used sets.
  • Order bricks from Brick Link or Pick-A-Brick on Lego.com

Keep in mind that Pick-A-Brick orders can take a LONG time to arrive. We’ve had them take a month!

Fall LEGO® Mosaic Ideas

And now, on to the fall LEGO® Mosaic ideas! We’ve got a scarecrow, apple, tractor, jack o’lantern, ghost, football, spider, and a fall leaf.

If you prefer printing the building cards, you can find the link at the bottom of the post.

Fall Leaf

Build this in red, orange, or yellow. Or make more than one!

Scarecrow

This one is one of my favorites! Kids can really use any colors they want for his hat and shirt.

Apple

Nothing says “fall” like a nice juicy apple!

Jack O’Lantern

Kids can change up the face on this and build it however they want. Might be fun to make more than one with different faces!

Tractor

Tractors and pumpkin patches just go together!

Ghost

This design is very flexible as far as which bricks are used.

Football

My 10 year old is super into football right now, so we had to include this design in our collection!

LEGO Football

Spider

This can also be built in brown, or any color really!

We have so many legos from projects that my kids did when they were younger. My neice and her 9 and 11 year old kids are going to visit in a couple months and I think the kids will love these. Do you have any Harry Potter Designs? My guest room theme is Harry Potter and some lego designs would add more character.

You listed a couple of ways to find certain colors of LEGO bricks. Another way is to check on EBay, under Legos. It’s often possible to order specific bricks of a single color in quantity.

I love these. My granddaughter and I like to make all of your building cards. I use a 32x32 plate and put 4 designs on it. My granddaughter insists we put 8 eyes on the spider! Translucent green.
