Well, this past week I’ve been working hard on something I’ve wanted to do for awhile. I consolidated all (well, most) of the Christmas LEGO® projects that we’ve designed over the years into an ebook full of building instructions! I also added a new project – a minifigure-sized sleigh for Santa and an adorable reindeer to pull it.

In this book, you’ll find two ways to explore all of our Christmas projects. The first is links to each of the posts with Christmas projects. The second is the ebook that is available for purchase. The benefit of the ebook is that kids can flip through the pages either on a tablet or in print form without ads or having to click around on the website. Pick the option that best suits you!

If you prefer to use the e-book in print form, print it out and stick the pages in a 3-ring binder! I suggest plastic page protectors for durability.

In the e-book you’ll get instructions for:

  • Mini Nativity
  • Santa
  • Candy Cane Express Train Ornament
  • Cube Ornament
  • Snowflake Ornament
  • Nativity Set
  • Christmas Tree Ornament
  • Rudolph Ornament
  • Nutcracker Ornament
  • Stocking Ornament
  • Sleigh and Reindeer for the Santa Minifigure

This will keep the kids busy during the holiday vacation! They’ll have a blast following the instructions, and will likely be inspired to design their own Christmas LEGO® creations.

The instructions are the same format as my print LEGO® books.

Here’s another example.

Keep in mind that the instructions in the e-book can also be found throughout multiple posts on my website, with the exception of the sleigh and reindeer, which are only in the e-book.

The photos in the e-book file are 300 dpi for best printing quality. You’ll want to use a decent quality of paper for best printing results. Even so, the photos are truly the easiest to view on a screen. I’d recommend using the book on a tablet, but the print version might be best for classroom or library use, or if you don’t have a tablet (we don’t!).

did you get it to print? I love this but not if I can't get it to print. Thanks!

  2. Dottie Dec 4, 2017

I'm having the same problem. It downloaded, but it won't print. Says it is unable to convert the post script file.

  3. Sarah Dec 9, 2017

Just an update - I e-mailed those who were unable to print the file directly, but I forgot to comment here! As far as I know, everyone has been able to get the file to print. I've had over 100 copies sold, and two reports of not being able to print the file. Updating Adobe Reader or restarting the computer usually will take care of the problem.

Do you have any other digital files besides Christmas. I love this idea, but would like to give child a full binder of things to do year round.

I don't have any other digital files, but I do have print LEGO idea books! You can find them here: https://frugalfun4boys.com/lego-books/

Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas! I love your website and can't wait to try building some of the Christmas projects with my grandsons.

Curious about one thing . . . do you have any advice for specific LEGO sets to purpose to get the best bricks for the projects?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

      Hello -

I just purchased your christmas lego e-book in hopes of a fun activity for my boys to do today. Unfortunately, on two separate attempts to download it, it stops at 54.7/61.6 MB and won't go any further. The file is corrupt. Is there a way to email the file? I've waited over an hour for the final MB to download and I've checked our internet, so I know those aren't the issues. The file will not fully download for me to be able to see if it could even be printed. I'm clearly based on comment history, not the only one having issues with the file. When I pay $5 for something, I expect a product in return. Please remedy this issue.

      Thank you!

I'm so sorry for the frustration! I've had over 100 downloads of this file in the past month, so I know that the file is not corrupt. I would recommend updating Adobe Reader and restarting your computer. If you are still not able to get it to work, I'd be happy to refund your money. It's tough when I'm not there with your computer to see what is going on! The file is unfortunately way too large to email.

Is this download still available for the 12 lego Christmas projects?

    1. Sarah Oct 21, 2020

Yes! Click on the "buy now" button. The button looks really huge for some reason... I will look into that!

  7. Clair Brown Nov 18, 2020

Hi Sarah, I purchased the 12 Lego Christmas projects and I am unable to print them. Thank you, Clair

    1. Sarah Nov 20, 2020

Are you able to view and download the file? Please give me more information so that I can help. :-)

  8. Renie Norris Nov 27, 2020

    Hi Sarah,
I'm having the same issue as Clair Brown. I purchased your Christmas Ebook and downloaded the pdf file, but there is an error message when I try to print. What else do you need to know to advise me on printing this ebook.

    1. Sarah Nov 27, 2020

It's really hard for me to troubleshoot without seeing your screen! I've had a few people say that their computer asks for a password to print. One person told me that she just ignored that message and printed it anyway, and it worked. You might also need to try updating Adobe Reader if you're using an old version. Email me if you are still having trouble - [email protected]

I was having trouble loading the page. Finally changed browsers and was able to load and print. However, a couple of the pages didn’t print and when I tried to go back and print them, it said access was denied. Could I try to print one more time?

    1. Sarah Dec 4, 2021

Yes, sorry for the delay! I just sent you the link to download it again.

  10. Tracie Oliver Dec 18, 2021

I purchased the ebook through my PayPal but we very could figure out how to download it. I purchased off the PayPal app - does that make a difference? I have a transaction number to confirm payment. Please help.

    1. Sarah Dec 18, 2021

You should receive an email right away with the link to download. I just sent you the email again, so check your inbox!

      1. Wrong email Dec 20, 2021

Ok, so I figured it out. The email attached to my PayPal is not in use anymore. Sorry! Can you send it to [email protected] ? I looked for your email there to make sure you didn’t already send it to that one.

        1. Sarah Dec 28, 2021

Just sent it to that one!
