Here’s a fun Thanksgiving craft for kids! Grab some paper cups and make this adorable turkey craft.
You can make these cute turkeys with construction paper feathers, or you can use real feathers from the craft store. Either way is super cute!
Paper cups are great for crafting! You’ll want to check out our Paper Cup Owls as well. I usually get solid color paper cups from either Walmart or Hobby Lobby. Party stores are good places to find these also.
Or, here’s another option to turn paper cups into Turkey Treat Holders.
Ready to make your paper cup turkey craft?
Supplies Needed:
- Paper Cups – 1 per turkey, we used yellow
- Red, orange, yellow, and brown construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Cardboard – from a shipping box or cereal box
- Glue – we used Tacky Glue and hot glue
- Craft feathers – optional
Step 1: Cut out the pieces.
Start by cutting out the feathers, beak, and wattle (the red thing that hangs down).
Cut out an arch shape from a cardboard box or a cereal box.
An easy way to attach the feathers to the cup is to glue them to a piece of cardboard first. Then, glue the cardboard to the cup. We used Tacky Glue to glue the feathers to the cardboard arch.
We also used Tacky Glue to attach the eyes, beak, and wattle.
I used hot glue to attach the tail feathers to the cup. And the turkey is complete!
If you prefer, you can easily swap out real feathers from the craft store for the construction paper feathers. Use the same procedure to attach them to the cup.
