We’re back with more LEGO mini builds! These tiny LEGO projects are perfect to create and display. We love building things on a small scale because the projects are adorable and they don’t take long to make.
Our past mini LEGO projects posts have included a lot of animals and vehicles, so this time it’s all about household items and games.
Mini LEGO Coffee Maker
My 12 year old built this with some inspiration from this YouTube video. He made a few modifications, but it’s the same basic design. So cute!
Start with a 2 x 3 black plate. Add two 1 x 2 clear bricks to make the water chamber. Then add two 1 x 1 black bricks and two 1 x 2 black bricks.
The top has three 1 x 2 curved slopes (dark gray). Add two 1 x 1 black round plates to make the spout where the coffee comes out.
Mini LEGO Burger and Fries
I built this one, and I think it looks like In ‘n Out, which is my favorite burger place.
Here are the bricks I used for the cup. Grab two 2 x 2 red round plates and two 2 x 2 white round bricks. Then find a 2 x 2 white tile with one stud on top. If you don’t have that, just use a regular 2 x 2 white plate.
The straw is a lightsaber blade!
Mini LEGO Camera
You can’t build a LEGO camera smaller than this! It’s so adorable.
Grab a 1 x 2 Technic brick. Those are the bricks with holes in them.
I used a 1 x 1 light gray round plate and a 1 x 1 clear round plate for the lens.
Another option is to use a 1 x 1 light gray round brick to make a longer lens. So cute!
Mini LEGO Air Hockey Table
My 12 year old also built this one. He used these instructions on Rebrickable and made some modifications. It’s so fun!
The base of the table is two 4 x 10 plates. You’ll need six 2 x 4 tiles to cover the table.
Here are the bricks my son used to build the end of the table.
It really doesn’t matter what color your 1 x 1 bricks with a stud are, but it’s best if they are the headlight design.
Once you have build the end as shown below, attach it to the table.
Then build the thing over the table. I don’t know what that’s called haha. You know, the thing that keeps score.
We used 1 x 1 plates with a clip and 1 x 2 plates with a handle on each end.
Mini LEGO Birthday Cake
This idea is so simple and fun! Use round bricks and round plates to create a tiny birthday cake. 1 x 1 cones make great candles, and you can insert a flame in the open stud on top.
Mini LEGO House Plant
House plants are all the rage, so why not build them out of LEGO bricks?!
For the pot, I started with two 4 x 4 red round plates. Then I added 2 x 2 red round corner bricks. For dirt, I added a 2 x 2 brown round plate and a 2 x 2 brown round tile with one stud on top.
Add a 1 x 1 green round brick for the base of the plant.
Then build the leaves. I used 2 x 2 green corner plates, 1 x 2 curved slopes, and 1 x 1 plates.
Keep adding leaves until you like the look of your plant!
LEGO Mini Checkers Game
You can really play this tiny LEGO checkers game!
Start with an 8 x 8 plate. I used light gray, but you can really use any color.
Cover the game board with 1 x 1 plates. You’ll need 32 white and 32 black.
Then for the checkers, you’ll need 16 black 1 x 1 round plates and 16 red 1 x 1 round plates.
We had a LOT of white and black 1 x 1 plates, but I also had to order more. Here they are on BrickLink.
