Seven LEGO® Building Ideas for Spring

We woke up to about 3 inches of snow, which is super weird for Texas in MARCH! So let’s think warmer weather with some spring LEGO® projects to build! Here are five ideas to inspire the little builders in your house. (Boys and girls both! We don’t intend for any of our ideas to be for *only* boys, just boy-approved!)

Maybe your kids can display their spring LEGO® creations as a centerpiece or put them on the mantle!

Project #1: Duckling

Step 1: Start with a round piece like this. If you don’t have a round one, use a square.

Step 2: Add two layers of yellow bricks.

Step 5: I have no idea where these orange bricks came from! If you don’t have pieces like these, try a different shape.

We have a separate post with step-by-step building instructions for the minions here: Lego minions. Aidan turned this minion into an Easter bunny, and it is cracking me up!

Here’s how he did the ears:

Project #6: Cardinal

Okay, cardinals make me think of winter more than spring, but my 8 year old created this after studying pictures in our bird field guide, and I had to include it!

These are great! My boys love Legos! They build them according to package instructions and then don't do anything different with them. These will give them some other ideas. Thanks!
