Spring is here, and it’s time for some new LEGO spring mini builds!
Build a tiny bird with a nest and eggs, a mini LEGO farm, a green spring leaf, and more. We love building mini LEGO creations. They’re so much fun, they don’t require a lot of bricks, and they’re great to display.
Last year, we made LEGO Mini Spring Animals. This year, I decided to add some more variety! The mini farm is probably my favorite, although I love the bird and bird nest too.
Let’s start building!
Build a LEGO Rainbow
I built this with St. Patrick’s Day in mind, but didn’t get it posted in time. Oh well, a rainbow goes with spring showers all season long!
I didn’t photograph instructions for this one because it’s such a simple concept. Start with a blue plate and add some white bricks to make clouds. Then build your rainbow, starting with purple and working your way up.
Build a LEGO Bird and Nest
Make the CUTEST little bird and bird’s nest! You can make the bird whatever color you want.
Start by finding a 2 x 3 plate, a 2 x 2 slope, a 2 x 2 inverted slope, and a 2 x 3 inverted slope. We used tan for the bird’s belly, but white or gray would also work well.
Use the 2 x 2 slope to connect the two inverted slope bricks. Then add a 2 x 3 plate to make the bird’s tail.
Add a 1 x 2 tan brick and two 1 x 1 bricks with a stud on the side. The studs will hold the wings.
Then gather the bricks shown for building the bird’s head.
Grab a 2 x 3 plate. Add a 1 x 2 brick, two 1 x 1 bricks with a stud on the side, and a 2 x 2 light orange slope to be the beak. Attach some eyes.
Finish up the head by placing a 2 x 2 plate on the top. Then attach the head to the bird’s body.
Add some feet. I used two 1 x 1 plates with a claw in the light orange color. Then find two 3 x 3 wedge plates for wings.
Your bird is complete!
Now build a little nest for your bird. I started with a 6 x 8 brown plate and then added random bricks and plates. I used 1 x 1 white round bricks for eggs in the nest.
Build a LEGO Spring Leaf
I don’t have instructions for this one either, but it’s pretty easy to figure out. Build a spring leaf with green bricks and plates for the veins of the leaf and lime green bricks for the leaf.
You really can modify the design with whatever bricks you have!
Build a LEGO Mini Farm
Build your own mini farm! The barn and silo are super simple. The silo is just three 2 x 2 red round bricks with a 2 x 2 white cone, truncated on the top.
Here are the pieces I used for the garden plants.
The fence is made out of 1 x 1 white round plates and then a 1 x 8 white plate and a 1 x 4 white plate.
Build a LEGO Flower
Here’s a sweet little flower to build! You can choose the colors you want to use for the petals.
These are the bricks I used for the flower.
Assemble the flower and then find a green bracket. This will allow you to attach the flower to the stem.
This is how I built the stem. Attach the bracket to the 1 x 2 jumper plate on top of the stem.
If you want more LEGO flowers to build, we have a whole collection! See them here: Build LEGO Flowers
Build a LEGO Bunny and Carrot
You can find the instructions for this bunny in this post: LEGO Chicks, Bunnies, and Butterflies.
The carrot is super simple! Here are the pieces we used.
The little rod holds the 2 x 2 cone and the 2 x 2 dome brick together.
