It’s no secret that my kids love water play – we have posted many water activities over the years! Kids are drawn to water like ants to a picnic, and I’ve found that a good water play activity will keep them busy for a long time.

Running water is even more fun! Here’s a fun and easy way to add a running water play space to your backyard.

Build a Rain Gutter River - Water Play Activity for Kids

This is SO simple to set up. All you need is two plastic tubs (ours are under-the-bed boxes) and a section of plastic rain gutter. You’ll want to make sure that your river runs down hill. We used our PVC pipe water table for the top of the slope and a large plastic storage box for the bottom. Our yard also slopes toward the back fence so that helped as well.

Then just provide cups for pouring! I put out a couple of plastic pitchers also. Kids will have a great time pouring water down the river. If the bottom tub starts getting too full, they can simply fill their pitchers and carry the water back up to the top.

It was also fun to watch small toys and leaves float down the river! Janie had fun playing with her tiny rubber monkey that she got at a dentist visit.

Stock images aren’t only terrible whenever you can use them adequately. They are able to add visually fascinating and persuasive content to your crafting. They remove many of the design or outsourced digital photography you may need to generate into the size of your pocket. They are fairly prompt visual content remedies on the fly. And best of all, every one our stock images are 100 zero cost - check us out and broadcast a lot more impressive content in the future. You are welcome!
