Learning letters is easy with a preschool alphabet activity that kids are sure to love! Jonathan enjoyed this immensely and worked on it three days in a row. (And he’ll probably come back to it tomorrow too!)
To set up this activity, you will need a toy hammer, a golf tee, a piece of corrugated cardboard, paper, and a marker. That’s it!
I drew several letters – one on each sheet of paper.
Then I showed Jonathan how to place a letter on top of the cardboard and to use the golf tee as a nail. Hammer the “nail” and it makes a hole through the paper! I showed Jonathan how to hammer the outline of the each letter.
The golf tee makes very satisfying holes in the paper.
After hammering two letters, Jonathan asked, “Can I do just one more?” Of course you can!
This kid loves to be a “worker.” He took a break from his hammer for a minute and then said to himself, “Well, back to work!” He cracks me up!

Great Idea! My Son would love this activity, he uses the hammer for many things around the house. I never thought to put it towards learning his letter too.
Thank you for the idea and the post!
